I restarted REAPER, the startup templated loaded with the extra tracks added, but the same problem persists, still only able to select either/both of the two MIDI tracks and only ONE of the audio tracks in Mixer view. I just went ahead a re-saved the template with more blank tracks added, just to see what would happen. In the floating mixer, I am able to select only ONE of the added tracks, but I can also select one or both of the template tracks. I just held Cmd + T to add a few more blank audio tracks that default to Inst 1. The template contains two tracks that have been set up for MIDI in and out, respectively. Interestingly enough, before replying I opened a blank project that automatically opens in my default template. Yes, I usually click the track name or sometimes even the small grey number of the track itself, not any of the faders or knobs. Are you clicking on the mixer track control panel itself, and not a control (like the pan knob)?
